I-Stream Video Server
General video communication server software, which is used communicating with video players and video broadcast centres .
Applications: surveillance, online customer services, conference, distance education, specialist diagnosis, homebound healthcare, professional counseling and video broadcast etc.
Functions: cameras and client users access management. It can control and record 16 cameras and unlimited number of connections and users. Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) control is integrated with the standard camera control functions.
Hardware requirement: professional CCD camera, video capture card, and license key for convenience, varieties of USB cameras can be used.
Platform: Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000 and Windows XP
Network requirement: When used in Intranet, an open port number 2000 or above is needed to get video stream through.
Explanation:

SERVER NUMBER: Your server number SERVER NAME: Your server name
NOTE: Check your internet connection, if SERVER NUMBER & SERVER NAME are flickering.
CAMERA: Click to open camera menu, here, current camera properties are set. Source: 000 and 001 are BNC video composite input and 002 is S-Video input. Quality: 1-9 for PAL signal; 10-14 for NTSC signal.

* NOTE: Aux1 & Aux2 are reserved for future applications.
RECORDER: Click to when you want to record a section or review a record.
USER: Click to view and edit users' settings and their visiting status.

Click [ADD] to add a username, password and access level (0-5). Tick the cameras, which the user is allowed to view.

Click [EDIT] to modify a username, password and access level (0-5). Tick the cameras, which the user is allowed to view.
Click [DEL] to remove the highlighted user if you do not want the user to visit your server.
RECORDER: Click to record the video.
Click on to record a section. All records are filed and dated automatically with the stamps for easy search.

Click on to start round the clock recording, on the first-in-first-out basis, which is optimized to take up all unused hard disk space except the space to run other applications. (By average, 80G space will store the LAST whole month recording, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week).
When using function, up to 16 cameras can be recorded. Procedures:
a. From the I-Stream folder/directory open viserver.ini with Windows NOTEPAD.
b. Find the section [REPEAT] select the cameras to be recorded and assign an integer (0, 1, 2, 3, ...) to set the recording sequence. Cameras not to be recorded set as -1.
c. Set the recording interval "STEP" in seconds.
MESSAGE: Click to send text message to other party.
MIC VOL & SPK VOL: Adjust microphone and speaker(s) volume by dragging the pointer along the index bars.
VICAMERA: Highlight to select the camera you want to view. Click CAMERA button you may edit the properties of the selected camera.
NETSTATE: Video: Video data speed in bps and frames rate (fps); Wave: Audio data speed in bps; All: Composite data speed in bps.
USER LIST: Current online visitors list
KICK-OFF: Click to kick the highlighted user off line. The user can only visit the server when the server restarts again. To permanently stop a user from visiting the server, remove the user from user list.
BROADCAST: Click to stop broadcasting to all online users, only the selected user can receive Audio/Video signals, while others can only send and receive text messages. To stop any user accessing text messages, use KICK-OFF function.
CLOSE Click to minimise the ViServer window. To SHUT DOWN ViServer completely, right click from windows' right bottom, select EXIT. ViServer icon will disappear after a few seconds.
Left click on the video area to expand the clicked quarter section.
Right click on the video area to expand the video area to full screen.
